Teacher training and improvement

In the 2020-2021 academic year, we present the NINETEENTH EDITION of the Training and Teacher Improvement Program of the Miguel Hernández University. This program responds to the demands and training needs expressed by our professors, and to the objectives established by both the Strategic Plan for Quality and the Plan for the Evaluation of the Teaching Activity of the UMH, promoting teaching innovation and educational excellence as a guarantee of quality in university teaching.

This program emphasizes the close relationship between the training of university teachers and the quality of teaching, and includes a set of activities and resources that the university institution organizes to improve the personal and professional development of its participants. It is a program open to change and constant improvement that has undergone an increase in its proposals and training activities, favored by the involvement of the Departments, Centers and all the teaching staff of the Miguel Hernández University.

Objevtives:

The objectives of the Teacher Training and Improvement Program are:

Ensure the quality of teaching and achieve educational excellence.
Train university teaching staff in the different elements that influence the teaching-learning process: teaching planning, teaching methods, evaluation, student motivation, communication skills, autonomous learning, tutoring, etc.
Facilitate strategies to support teaching and research work: statistical resources, bibliographic searches, oral and written communication techniques, etc.
Prepare university teachers in the didactic possibilities of the new information and communication technologies.
